SHOWROOM INFORMATION

In 1973, Tom Rensenhouse opened his first lighting showroom in Kansas City. While it was expected that the newest lighting products from the top manufacturers in the industry would be included, Tom Rensenhouse recognized that it would take much more than just quality products to fulfill his vision of being the "best" lighting store in the market.

He did his homework. He researched the industry and the greater Kansas City metroplex. From the very beginning, Tom started selling what people wanted to buy, not what the industry wanted to sell.

In the early 70's, leading-edge, energy-saving products were featured in the mix. Ceiling fans, residential florescent lighting, and a wide array of forward-thinking items helped homeowners save energy and save on the newest lighting styles at "everyday" low prices. For the customers who were building a new home, a specially trained staff of decorators worked with the home builder and home buyer to create an entire household of beautiful, energy-saving lighting effects that set the standards.

Today, that vision remains...and is stronger than ever. "We have an incredible group of people, many of them have been here since 1973. Our knowledge of the lighting industry and it's future trends, combined with a sincere desire to help our customers get the most lighting for their dollar, has made us 'Kansas City's most recognized name in lighting' and the Home Builders' Source." said Tom Rensenhouse.

Rensen House of Lights is much more than just lighting. Home decor accessories, accent furniture pieces, framed art and graphics, and massively framed mirrors are just part of the "Total Look" product mix.

The Rensen House of Lights past 30 years of retail and home builder service is testimony to the fact that when you give people what they want...quality, value, convenience, and customer service...the future of "lighting-up" Kansas City looks very bright.
